Western’s Care Guidance and Support Team are available to support you and your child with any problems, queries or concerns you may have about your family or child.
The team are available to be contacted daily to discuss matters such as;
- Pastoral care concerns
- Friendship issue
- Early Help Support
- Referrals to external agencies
- Special Educational Needs queries and support
- Support with medical needs
- Online safety concerns

Early Help Support
The purpose of Early Help Assessment is a whole family assessment which helps to determine the needs of all family members and therefore, what is required to help the family meet those needs. The Early help brings together all professionals who are supporting the family so they can work collaboratively to provide the best support to the child and family.

Food Bank Donations
At Western we have our own family food bank, we are able to provide families with food, toiletries and other household cleaning products if you are in need. Please contact the Care Guidance and Support team to discuss any of your needs. If you would like to donate any items to the food bank please bring them to the school office. We are always in need of tinned items that families are able to use to add to a meal.
Western Uniform Bank
If your child is in need of any items of school uniform we have a range of pre owned clothing in school that you are welcome to request.

If we do not have the size or item you require the Community Clothing Scheme on Wallsend High Street has a range of school uniform free of charge.
We are going to be receiving a clothing bin in school school for any donations of pre owned uniform to be donated to the Community Clothing Scheme look out for this arriving in school.
