We are Friends of Western, the Parent Teacher Association (PTA) for Western Community Primary School.
We are a dedicated group of parents, grandparents, and caregivers who are passionate about raising funds to make our children’s school an amazing place to learn, love, and grow.

What does FoW do?
We hold regular meetings at the school to discuss, plan, and organize events throughout the school year. These events include Crazy Hair Day, bake sales, the big Christmas raffle, and our annual Summer Picnic, among many others. Thanks to these events, we have funded various activities for our children, such as animal-handling workshops, transportation to and from theatre productions, and hoodies for our Year 6 students. These funds also help provide extras within the school that wouldn’t be possible without our support, such as OPAL, which helps enrich our children’s playground.

Please join us at our next coffee morning! We hold several of these throughout the school year. You can find the next meeting date and time in our FoW newsletter (available below) or via the School Gateway App, where you will be notified of our upcoming coffee morning. (These meetings also include much-needed biscuits and sometimes cupcakes!) Don’t worry if you cannot make it to our meeting; any contribution really does go a long way. We love to share ideas and make group decisions about the activities we can organize and the best ways to use the money we raise.
