At the end of year 6, children participate in SATS tests. These are a national measure to show each child’s attainment compared to other 11 year olds. Each child will be awarded a raw score and a scaled score, and receive confirmation of whether or not they have achieved the national standard. The range of scaled scores: 80 is the lowest possible scaled score 120 is the highest possible scaled score A scaled score of 100 or more means that the child has met the expected standard in each test.

*GDS – Greater Depth Standard (those pupils performing above the national expected standard)

The floor standard is the minimum standard for pupil attainment and progress that the government expects schools to meet. A school is above the floor standards if they have progress scores greater than -5 in Reading, -5in Maths and -7 in Writing. Average progress score from Key Stage 1 to Key Stage 2
